The giving of the gifts
Mimi was super happy with her vase. It is happily sitting on the mantle in the living room. Jill is happy with her plate. Mimi and I delivered Aunt Susu’s bowl when we went to Texas. Aunt Susu was not expecting the bowl and she was very proud.
Here is the pic of Uncle Lanny and Aunt Susu with the bowl:

The Pottery Room
I love The Pottery Room. It is located on Madison Street, near The Chopping Block. It is ran by this AWESOME German lady (or English or something, I don’t know….she has a wonderful accent). Basically, you go in and pick out a piece and then you paint it. You leave it with the nice lady for a week and she fires it in a big….thing….and it comes out all beautiful and shiny and perfect. She is so creative….anyone who knows me knows that I am not. So if you go in and you are NOT creative….she gives you wonderful ideas. The place is wonderful for adults and children.
My mom found this place because she took Hayli to a birthday party there. The following weekend, mom and I took the kiddos back there and let them each pick out a figure to paint. The kids had a blast.
SO…me being the non creative person that I am…I feel the need to try to instill some creativity into my babies. I got the fabulous idea to bring Cross the next time and have them paint a plate for Jill. My mom’s birthday was coming up so I wanted Hayli and Christian to paint something for her. A week or so ago, I rounded up Hayli and Christian and we went to pick up Cross for our adventure.
We had a blast! Here are the final pictures of their projects!

Everyone should take their kids to The Pottery Room. It is a wonderful place!!
Clarksville Extreme Cheerleading
Hayli is involved with Clarksville Extreme Cheerleading. This is a cheer squad, in Clarksville, that you have to try out for and, if you get accepted, they do competitive cheerleading. It is AWESOME to watch the older girls. They do wonderfully. Hayli is on the ‘tiny team’. She is learning cheers and lots of tumbling. She can already do a cartwheel. The entire team has come a long way. They have been in 3 competitions so far.
Here are some pics!

My sweetheart
Christian received the ‘Character Kid’ award at school. Each month, the school teaches a certain character trait and then they select 1 child, per grade, that exhibits the traits that they have been emphasizing that month. Christian was selected, out of the whole Kindergarten classes, for the trait ‘Citizenship’. Needless to say, he spends a lot of time being crazy social and is very nice to all people. He gets that from me…not his dad. LOL. I have to claim some characteristics because he looks just like his dad.
Here is his picture, with the award:

First Post
I would just like to start by saying that I am mother and aunt to the best two kids in the world.
I AM.
Truly.
I have created this blog to chronicle the fun stories and times of these two beautiful children. First of all, allow me to introduce them.
Christian is my son. He is adorable, perfect, wonderful, and spoiled rotten. He is 5 years old and is currently in Kindergarten.
Hayli is my niece. She is, without a doubt, the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. She is 4 years old.
